Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies results. Ramapo Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.
Automatic Technical Information
Our hosting provider may create routine server logs, including an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate for maintenance and readership patterns. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to operate the reference, address technical problems, measure overall traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Resources
Links lead to Town of Ramapo, Rockland County, New York State, library, archive, and third-party resources. Each destination applies its own privacy policy to information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results supplied by an outside provider.
Service Providers and Disclosures
Hosting and support providers may process the routine technical information described above. Analytics and advertising partners can receive automatic data needed for their services. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise do not share it for unrelated purposes.
Safeguards
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because there are no site accounts, this service does not hold a user password or member profile.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask a website to access, correct, or delete personal data it keeps. Research for this reference did not identify a New York comprehensive online-tracking privacy statute. New York's SHIELD Act, General Business Law ยงยง 899-aa and 899-bb, addresses data security and breach notification rather than a general public-record deletion right. Because we keep little visitor information, requests usually concern a contact message or log data. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by New York, Rockland County, or Ramapo custodians are outside our control and must be addressed with the relevant office.
Policy Revisions
Any revision will appear here. Continued use after a posted change means that you accept the updated policy.
